Eileen, Jeroen and I have the power to put teeth into the demands.
If it is the consensus of the list that Marvin's three points are
reasonable requests that should have some sort of enforcement attached,
the listowners can issue him a specific warning and outline the
consequences of violating them to him.
But I'm not going to kick him off, temporarily or otherwise, until he
has been given a specific warning, and I don't think that either of the
other listowners should do so, either. (If your opinion differs from
mine, that's fine by me, I'd just prefer you not be abusive towards me
about it.)
Also, I'd like input as to what people would consider a reasonable
period of suspension for first, second, third, Nth offenses on this.
Otherwise, if I don't hear back from other listowners on it once
warnings have been issued, I'm going to wing it. And I've got a ton of
other stuff to be thinking about, so my winging it may be whimsical.
