I would agree, although I don't have a lot of evidence. I did find a statistic that the average person absorbs 2.4 mSv of background ionizing background radiation per year. According the 'scientists and Philosophers" post on Units, a Sv is a Gy which is J/kg. Can anyone tell me if this quantity is greater than the figure Dan listed above? Nerd From Hell (who is very bad at math and quantatative analysis)
