When I'm pissed at the world I generally prefer music that lifts my mood rather than augments it. Queen (old Queen has some good angry tunes), ZZ Top, James Brown, Muddy Waters, Prince, Us3, John Lee Hooker (try "I'm Bad Like Jesse James" if you're looking for a song that expresses the desire to shoot, cut, and drown the bastards).
Still, some good old Ice-T will sometimes do the trick. My wife, however, gets a lot of milage out of Alanis Morrisette and Skunk Anansie. Skunk has a song about "they're selling jesus again" that's very useful when one is sick of a certain category of popular lie.
