Wow.  We just used Beethoven at high volumes, and once we had good
bagpipe recordings, we found that those work fairly well, as well.  The
nice thing about the bagpipes is that not only do they shut down the
annoying stuff, they also attract some of the people you'd want to hang
out with anyway.  :)

(Symphonies 5, 7 and 9 on the Beethoven, if you were wondering.)

(Oh, and one of our dogs likes bagpipe music.  If you start playing
some, she'll come into the room, lie down, and hang out until it's
over.)
