It is called "time to replace the record player with a CD player".   :-)

BTW, the needle of a record cannot jump to an other groove: there is only
one groove on a LP. (That is, one per side of the LP).

So, what you describe could only happen if there is a surface blemish at the
very end of the groove which causes the arm with the needle to return to the
starting point of the groove. I do not think that is technically possible,
though.
