That's really what I meant by a "tough read." As in, some parts are tough to read, as they describe certain unpleasantness. As I just finished Ancient of Days, and had to deal with a small amount of unpleasantness therein (that maybe hit a little close to home, I dunno), it's certainly not on my immediate list, but something for some time in the future when I feel like taking a stroll near the dark side.
