In answer to your question, the Bengals had given the Colts quite a scare
the week before, on the road, in Indianapolis. The Steelers,
meanwhile, had looked like a bad team all year, were missing their best
defender (Kendrell Bell) and were starting an XFL QB.
It seemed like a good pick at the time!
