I'm sure you do... but I don't think transparency need be carried that
far, necessarily.  Anonymity has value, as long as its power is strictly
limited.
If someone feels it necessary to ding someone else, then that person should at least have the courage to make himself known. Anonimity is for cowards.


It is quite literally a moderating effect.
EXACTLY! Which is exactly why this is a bad idea -- it goes straight against David Brin's wishes that this list be unmoderated.
