Not really. I've heard that ME is the buggiest Windows OS
out there.

The Linux boot loader, called LILO, has been able to do that by
default for as long as I can remember. Any Linux distribution
you get will have either LILO, or one of the newer, prettier
programs available that do the same job. The more recent Linux
installers will even set that up semi-automatically for you.
