I chose my words very carefully. Many people don't seem to have read
them very carefully, however. If you doubt the big bang theory, you have
a choice.  You can pursue an alternate theory or you can seek further
evidence or experimental verification (as hard as it may be). If someone
proposes a theory with no possibility of verification, you have the
choice of saying it is worthless and ignoring it. In the systems that I
consider religion, any of those choices would be heresy.

I realize you put a smiley, but it is not clear whether you understood
the point I was making.
