Heck, where I live in St. Louis there's really only 1 option for broadband
for a household.  The cable in my neighborhood doesn't support broadband
connections; apparently it is too old.  The other ISPs are more business
oriented and are *much* more expensive.  I was pleasantly surprised I was
able to get decent DSL service because the phone lines suck too.  (Actually,
I get a better throughput than most of my friends, which is absolutely
amazing...)
