There are still some blue laws here in New England, and in New Jersey as well. Most commonly, they prohibit buying package liquor on Sundays (bars/clubs are open, but not liquor stores), and some towns might require certain types of stores to be closed. While these laws were mostly religious-based when they were written, I believe they remain in effect now almost entirely for secular reasons. In particular, I know a lot of towns retain their blue laws because they have a mall or a lot of stores that cause major traffic, and the local residents have little motivation to vote to overturn a law and add more noise traffic to their weekends. _______________________________________________ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l
