The beauty of trade is that if the above statement is true, then it also
means that the rest of the world needs us to buy their stuff.   Indeed, we
currently buy more of the world's stuff than they buy of ours.

Uhhh..... Bob?     Let's review the record of the last three Presidents in
regards to Iraq:

Bush I: A resolution passed 14-1 (with Yemen either abstaining/voting no.)

Clinton: The complete fracturing of the UN Security Council, the collapse
of sanctions, and the eviction of inspectors from Iraq.

Bush II: A resolution, 1441, passed unanimously - including, incredibly,
with a yes-vote from Syria.    Inspections resume for the first time in 4-5
years.     Even today, despite all the high-profile diplomatic
disagreement, the US and France appear to be separated by approximately two
weeks as to what the final deadline for Iraqi compliance with 1441 should
be.    The US wants a decision March 7th.   The French have proposed March
21st.   

So, which results producing, quote, :"consensus", did you want again?
