This scores high on my crap-o-meter, as the British forces could have very easily interpreted the surrender as a "request for asylum", take them into custody and pass them on to their superiors. They could then be interrogated and passed on to the immigration department for the necessary security checks/etc. Even if they don't end up going anywhere, I can't see the allied forces rejecting such an opportunity to question potential enemy forces to find out morale, unit placement, commanding officer names and style, etc. Sending the Iraqi soldiers back "because it's too early" sounds too stupid to be true, and is either someone's idea of a joke, or some sort of propaganda. -- Matt _______________________________________________ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l
