Since I'm a bit tired of arguing the war, Iraq, Iran, the Middle East,
bombs, politicians, speeches, the UN, the US and all the rest, here is
something entirely different.

I'm so totally proud of myself. The job I did in Brussels finally resulted
in a very nice published article (and even if I'm only co-autor the results
published are largely mine). My very first publication. So if anybody
wonders what I've been doing all those years in Belgium the results are in

Hurray for me.

Now since that made me feel soooooo good, I went and did some much needed
gardening. Actually it was surprisingly easy going, except for again
<groan> digging up lots of glass and bricks and stuff. Last year I gave up
on account of that, but this year I persevered. After all I did get that
article published so no stupid border is going to get the better of me. I
just ignored the zillion ittybitty tiny pieces, dug out the biggies and
smoothed over the rest. So now I have a very nice border that's been dug
over, smoothed, fertillised and planted with what I hope will be very nice
flowery plants in a couple of months. I even managed to put in some carrot
seeds for fun (wonder if it'll work). Also put in some basil because I had
some space left over. It is just a test because next year all the flower
beds are going to be moved around in our intended big garden makeover. But
at least this year we'll have a bit of colour in what is supposed to be a
garden. Now for the patio and the lawn. I'm not ambitious enough to start
on *that* project just today..... but I'm tempted to start tomorrow....
eh.... if I can still move that is.. ouch.... my muscles are just sooooo
not happy with me.

Now all I have to do is sweep the livingroom (it has Tom and his sandbox
written all over) get Tom (he's still napping ... aaaaah the quiet), make
the beds, cook dinner, put up another load of laundry, sweep the kitchen
and go for a nice big chunk of chocolate... I've really earned it. <BIG
HAPPY GRIN>
