Dr Brin replied.... > A very likely future utility. This is already a reality in Great Britain. The service is expected to be in the US within a year. I could see this service making some dramatic changes in some peoples lives - some good and some bad. A couple of guys at work have already been TOLD by their wives that they will subscribe to this service when it is available in the US. I have no problem with my family knowing where I am at, at all times, however, I am not sure how I feel about my employer having the ability to track my location at all times. I could easily see this becoming a required condition of employment for some people. Also as Ronn sort of said, this would be a powerful stalking tool.
