Then why do you stick to that denomination? The leaders of that particular
group have done this sort of thing for centuries, when is enough enough?

To boil it down to one sentence, it's because I'm not from California. :-) (No
offense is intended to list members who live there.)

Seriously, I don't jump from group to group just because I disagree with something
someone in the group does. I doubt many people do. Just because some
Republicans in leadership positions do things that are dishonest, does that make
the Republican Party dishonest? Just because some Democrats in leadership
positions do things that are unethical, does that make the entire Democratic Party
unethical?

If I belong to an organization in which I believe strongly, or with which I agree
strongly, when I see problems in that organization I don't turn coward and jump
ship. I make my opinion of the problem known and try to fix it from within. That's
why I'm against school vouchers. They don't do anything to fix a school's problems;
they just pawn those problems off on another school. If I left the Roman Catholic
Church, it would do absolutely nothing to change what this Pope or any other
member of the clergy does. But if I stay involved and express my concerns, and
more importantly encourage others within the church to express their concerns,
then I can have a part, no matter how small, in changing the course of that church.
