Generally I think most people would agree with you Gautam.
Speaking for myself, I don't mind the taxes too much as long as the
money is well spent.
I'd be willing to pay even more for better health care, a *real* space
program, and a work program that temporarily picks up unemployed
people and gives them something usefull to do while they look for
work.

Or perhaps they feel that we should never give up on idealism and the
hope that gubbamint can actually do something to improve the *quality*
of life in our country. <G>
I don't think putting $500 or even $1000 in each taxpayers pocket does
anything substantial to improve anyones life.
$10K or $100K certainly would, but $1000 is too small an amount to do
much with. <G>

I can understand.
I'm having to pay $5K in taxes that I really shouldn't have to this
year.
It sucks. Its the fault of government. But thems the breaks!<G>
