Generally I think most people would agree with you Gautam. Speaking for myself, I don't mind the taxes too much as long as the money is well spent. I'd be willing to pay even more for better health care, a *real* space program, and a work program that temporarily picks up unemployed people and gives them something usefull to do while they look for work. > Those who feel otherwise > are usually people who are paid well enough (famous > radiologists, say :-) that the difference isn't that > important to them. Or perhaps they feel that we should never give up on idealism and the hope that gubbamint can actually do something to improve the *quality* of life in our country. <G> I don't think putting $500 or even $1000 in each taxpayers pocket does anything substantial to improve anyones life. $10K or $100K certainly would, but $1000 is too small an amount to do much with. <G> >As a measly consultant, I feel > every dollar the government pries from my sticky > little fingers... :-) I can understand. I'm having to pay $5K in taxes that I really shouldn't have to this year. It sucks. Its the fault of government. But thems the breaks!<G> xponent Money Money Money Mooooooney Maru rob _______________________________________________ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l
