We knew that,  Twelve buried shells were discovered earlier.  To a
similar big play up at the time.  We also knew he used them in the
Iran-Iraq war.  I bet if we really looked we could find some CW shells
in one of our reserve armories besides the pentagon known locations.

I am wondering if the Sarin gas was still potent. It makes it more
likely it is because it was a binary system but CW weapons degrade
quickly.

It is likely the rebels did not know what they had,. Even if it had
worked correctly, it didn't, an open roadside is not where you want to
deploy it.

Now if I was a rebel with 11 of those... I think I'll keep speculation
to myself.
