To stir the pot a bit, I observe that 155mm artillery shells are a western standard (in fact, 155mm is NATO standard caliber); Soviet and Soviet Client/aligned states use 152mm for this class of shells. Make of that what you will (though IIRC Iraq had purchased large numbers of G3 artillery pieces, which IIRC are 155mm, from S. Africa).
