In particular, taking an action that you know will kill someone who is not threatening you is not a moral evil? Goodness John, the justification for war all the way back to Augustine is based on moral evils being acceptable in order to stop a worse moral evil. When we started the war in Afghanistan, we knew we would kill innocent civilians. There was no way around it. Given your premise, how can that be justified?
