I would say that statements of astrology have meaning. I understand what someone who believes in astrology means when they talk about the influence of the planets. I don't agree with them, but I understand them. The fact that a number of people use the definition of a word to effectively communicate is strong evidence for that definition having meaning. I realize you enjoy pedantic games.
