Hmmm... While what you say is true in a sense, I think it's important to recognize that the Internet has made it far more available. Is it "moving to the left" to stay still when the target is moving? Not that I think either party has anything intelligent to say about this issue.

Gay marriage is a triviality that is forced upon us by
imbecilles of BOTH the left and right while most of us
could not care less.

Amen, and I mean amen just like I say at the end of a prayer. My church's regional meeting spent the majority of its time this year talking about (I started to say "debating," but that would be too kind) this issue uselessly. We were told that we *must* vote for various initiatives for the sake of Christian unity, for justice and other doubtful reasons, or that we *must* vote against them because Scripture can only be interpreted one way (how handy that it happened to be the speaker's way!). I'm all for unity and justice, but the very people demanding them weren't demonstrating either one as far as I could see. So we invested thousands of hours of peoples' time on a far less important issue than any number of others that we could have considered.

Ask yourself what political party Jesus would favor if
he came today. He's be as pink as Fonda! You guys
needed a simple issue to reverse this. "Baby killing"
served nicely. Jesus might be a socialist, but he'd
be on our side to save babies.

I don't think he can be categorized by any partisan, since the moment one reduces him to human dimensions, he appears quite insane. The humiliation of the cross is a scandal to anyone who'd paint him as a political leader.

What seems to be popular today (perhaps always) is to read "love your neighbor" as "correct your neighbor."
