To the extent that we have evidence (not much, but
some) this does not seem to be the case.  Reenlistment
rates among units in Iraq (for example) do not appear
to be much lower and, at least anecdotally, my friends
who were in the Army over there report that the
enlisted men generally believe in the war.  So I don't
think this is true.  Certainly the Bush Administration
and the Kerry campaign do not believe this is true, as
the Administration has put considerable efforts into
making it easier for servicemen and women to vote, and
the Kerry campaign has quietly put some effort into
opposing those efforts.  It hasn't made much of a
splash in the public, but that seems to be the case, anyways.
