I never said that all people in the south are
red-necks.  Tomorrow, forty % + of them will be
disenfranchised.  The 40% who can see and want a
modern world.

Of the majority, I am sure than many perceive
themselves as wonderful decent people... and they
probably tithe more charity than most northerners do. 
And yes, many aren't apocalypts but see themselves as
modern people.

And yes, they "love America".

Nevertheless, you evade the issue.  Look at the map.

During the civil war, many southern cities and
counties voted to stay in the Union.  Quite a few even
sent volunteer companies and regiments to join the
Union Army.  

That does not change the fact that the map spoke for
itself then... and it says something now.

Say what you like.  The map is there, in front of you.
 It means something.

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.....
