We Will Not Be Afraid
Our country will be attacked
And we will know outrage
But we will not be afraid.
When Americans stop being afraid, the terrists have won.
When people are afraid, and change their own behaviour, then the
terrorists are winning. When you give up freedom and liberty for
"security", the terrorists have won.
When you are not afraid, they can't do anything (except try to
terrorise you again). When people hold their heads in memory of the
lost, then carry on with their lives, then we've won.
OK, but seriously, this is a fine piece of work: I am reminded
that reports of angels appearing to humans always begin with
the words "don't be afraid." Concerned? Sure. Alert? Absolutely.
Afraid? Forget it.
Time to kick out the people who have thrived on a policy of fear
then, and choose some representatives who value freedom and liberty
more than they value power through fear.
