Yes, I believe it is. The local example is Nick Lampsen, who will take over Tom Delays old district (Tx-22). Lampsen was recommended by the NRA (I saw this for myself in a NRA voters guide one of my co-workers had). There were several democrats being pointed to as acceptable by the NRA and this is evidence of lessons learned during the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections. >One of the biggest upsets of Tuesday night was in >New Hampshire, where a very liberal anti-war activist won the seat. Brown represents Ohio, a state that stands to lose jobs via CAFTA. Does it not make sense that he supports the views of his constituents? Think about what you are saying here. Ohio, one of the most conservative states, elected someone *extremely* liberal? (I'm thinking this is one of those unfortunate situations where conservatives (like the people of Ohio) might find free-trade philosophically pleasing but fear greatly for the reality that could be economically threatening) >I'm not sure yet how the new Democrats will really look like, >especially >since most of them were elected from the liberal northeast. Only one republican is more liberal than only one democrat. Seems pretty artificial. Looks like crap to me.......who the heck are these guys? Nevermind, I looked them up in whois. They are registered anonymously, so they most likely are scumbags who should not be taken seriously. (I do whois lookups all the time and anonymous registrations are a bad sign.) I don't find Obama to be particularly liberal. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama xponent Sam Spade Maru rob _______________________________________________ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l
