It's generally a good idea to spend some time *observing* how things are
done in a particular place before barging in with habits learned elsewhere.
Lord knows that's all that's saved me from a lot of RL embarassment....
:) (Possibly injury, as well, but folks don't tend to punch out

What have you read by Vonnegut that you absolutely loved?
The top 2 on my list are Player Piano and Breakfast of Champions.
Cat's Cradle freaked me out too badly with the Ice-9.
