- jlm I don't know. I wonder if the guys who made "Loose Change" either a) honestly believe their crap or b) are con-men trying to make a buck off the videos. Part of me would rather it be (b)! THAT I can understand! - jmh certainly both of those describe some of the theoretical scenarios found on the internet. i was thinking of the "swift boat" type of portrayals that have a political, religious, or some other kind of extremist agenda, such as dr. brin described in his article, "the dogma of the other". there are a variety of sites on the web that promulgate various doctrines, values and beliefs, some of which have little basis in reality and are dangerous. in his novel, "earth", dr. brin talks about how the net provides a soapbox for opposing points of view that all can read and judge for themselves. he extrapolates how interactive blogging and a variety of web tools are used to discuss issues, and process information. - jlm __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
