I don't know.  I wonder if the guys who made "Loose
Change" either a)
honestly believe their crap or b) are con-men trying
to make a buck off
the videos.  Part of me would rather it be (b)!  THAT
I can understand!

certainly both of those describe some of the
theoretical scenarios found on the internet.  i was
thinking of the "swift boat" type of portrayals that
have a political, religious, or some other kind of
extremist agenda, such as dr. brin described in his
article, "the dogma of the other".  there are a
variety of sites on the web that promulgate various
doctrines, values and beliefs, some of which have
little basis in reality and are dangerous.  in his
novel, "earth",  dr. brin talks about how the net
provides a soapbox for opposing points of view that
all can read and judge for themselves.  he
extrapolates how interactive blogging and a variety of
web tools are used to discuss issues, and process
information.
