On a similar vein, if we have to add 2 to the stall (i.e. time out called
when none are remaining), I figure this means we would stall as follows:
1,2,3,time out,6,7,8...."
Chris' utterance count (1,2,3,6,7,8,9,10 = 8 utterances) would back this
up.
I have always read this as 2 SECONDS, not just "subtract 2" (this may have
come from the UPA rules, though I could have sworn the word second was in
the WFDF version as well).
18.1.1.1.4. does not subtract two (2) seconds from the stall count after
the first call of any marking infraction, or [sic]

It used to be written into the rules that you did it that way
("1,2,3,4,3,4,5,6...") and if you think about it, that is adding 2
seconds onto your stall (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 is 10 utterances,
1,2,3,4,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 is 12).
