Hi Chris, thanks for holding off the build question 'till now. Looking at your list, you certainly seem to have all the requisite libs and then some, including the one cmake was complaining about (libXi). So what you're probably missing are the *-devel packages. The headers are usually a separate install (like libxi-devel).
You could also download the virtual disk image and just ask it which packages it already has installed since it's an ubuntu image too.
