This project was already (largely) tackled last year (
http://brlcad.org/wiki/Google_Summer_of_Code/2014#Online_Geometry_Viewer),
which I would suggest you take a look at. I don't know if there is room
for some sort of GSOC project building on last year's work or if you would
be better served focusing on another project, but hopefully someone who
worked more closely with that project can clear that up. I don't believe
anyone has yet gone through and updated the project ideas for GSOC 2015,
but that should happen soon.
