Hi,

I'm Tawhid, a final year Chemistry student. I've been developing little
things for about a two years now, and have a decent understanding of C++
and Java. GSoC seems like a good opportunity to get involved with something
bigger than a little molecule simulation, and a few of the starting points
given in your project ideas list look interesting and importantly,
achievable.

Particularly, I am interested in the 3D -> 2D vector idea. I'm still
reading through the given material and due to exams, won't be able to go
hardcore research mode for another week or two, but does anybody have any
further recommendations of papers on the matter or other software that has
implemented something similar? Also is there a bug tracker somewhere? I
want to maybe try submit some small patches or something, or at least get a
good look at the codebase.

I'm really looking forward to getting involved with BRL-CAD, like i said
before, the problems you guys are tackling look interesting.

Thanks,

Tawhid
