I liked your approach, it's quick, easier to implement but still a bit manual. I would like you to try the phantomJs approach. I have a considerable experience in phantomjs and I think it must be done easily. However deployment should be your first priority at the moment. I would not like deployment to be delayed any further. Everything else comes second.
