Hello,
This is Shubham Rathore(:gabbar1947), a junior year student currently
pursuing my engineering degree from IIIT Hyderabad, India. I have
contributed to various organizations like Joomla! , The Processing
Foundation, Mozilla etc. I work in the field of Computer Vision and have an
experience with tools like BRL-CAD and POV-Ray.
I am interested to work on the project "Annotations: Implement support for
2D annotations, labels that can be added to geometry". I went through the
documents regarding Dimensions and Tolerances. After summing up everything,
what I basically got was that, new labels need to be added that define the
models accurately in the wireframe view. Now these labels are linked to
dimensions and tolerances.
Tasks:
i) We need a box to hold all these labels
ii) We need to design an interface that maps the parameters contained in
the box to the 3D wireframe view
Is it in the right direction?
It will be helpful, if I get know the areas that I need to explore more and
if I get to know the particular dimension of the project that I've missed.
Regarding the familiarity with the languages, my daily work is done in C++
and Python and I have more than three years of coding experience.
