Hi Dan,

At a quick glance, it's expecting a simple '-' hypen but it looks like you've 
provided an '–' em dash.  Perhaps this is a copy-paste issue where the 
character used in the (pdf/html) lesson you're using is not what one would 
type, but looks very similar.  I suggest try typing a simple dash (a minus 
sign) and see if it still complains about a bad operation.  Hopefully, that's 
all it is.
