I'm assuming that you mean via Bluetoth since they do work via USB. As of just a few days ago, they do now work via Bluetooth on Linux. The reason it's only on Linux, so far, is because there's a piece of the required support - Bluetooth HID - that needs to be platform dependent, and that piece hasn't been imlemented yet for Windows and Android. >According to the supplier, this has something to do with the used protocol >and changes would have to be made on Android to make support for these >devices possible. Yes, that's correct. While support for Windows is possible, and should be added soon, there's a permissions issue on Android. Google, at least so far, only gives access to a device's HID report descriptor to system apps. Even if they decided today to relax this, it'd only eventually show up in Android 12. -- I believe the Bible to be the very Word of God: http://Mielke.cc/bible/ Dave Mielke | 2213 Fox Crescent | WebHome: http://Mielke.cc/ EMail: [email protected] | Ottawa, Ontario | Twitter: @Dave_Mielke Phone: +1 613 726 0014 | Canada K2A 1H7 | _______________________________________________ This message was sent via the BRLTTY mailing list.
