Note that it says that the user (i.e. you) hasn't given the permission - not 
that the app itself doesn't have the permission. Unless something has changed, 
you should've gotten a prompt asking you to grant brltty permission to access 
the USB device.

Of course, this shouldn't cause a crash. I'll have a look at that.
