Hello Paul, Downgrading NVDA to such a very old version isn't an option. The person who would need this workaround works on Windows 11 so running the latest NVDA would be a requirement. But it seems that also brltty seems not to be able to find the braille device in the first place. Which braille display are you using? I tried with the Handy Tech Active Star 40. As far as i know this is a USB HID device. Though i also have older braille devices which i might try which have a serial to USB converter.
