Yes, in effect it is but for a different reason. Google isn't allowing an Android app that isn't part of the base system to see a device's HID descriptor so we can't implement Bluetooth HID support on Android. It provides the adb (Android Debug Bridge) command, and log (i.e. adb log) is one of that command's subfunctions.
