I'm curious about the underlying rationale of this,
treating each IP interface as an SMF service.  Is
there other kernel component which is being considered
to follow the same?  For example, are people thinking
of treating a zfs pool as an SMF service?

BTW, I hope removing the *.conf files and using SMF
repository is not a reason for this.
