I happen to believe that (almost?) anything is poisonous in too big
concentrations. And many things are harmless, even beneficial, in proper
concentrations.

As far as I know, they still add iodine in the table salt, to make sure
that all people get enough of the stuff. At least some form and
concentration of the stuff seems motloy harmless.  (and the rest of
iodophor is phosphoric acid, which (they say) is also used in Coca
Cola).

Don't we have some well informed people on this list who could dig a bit
deeper into the matter, and explain what forms and concentrations of
iodine and phosphoric acid are safe, what happens if you exceed them,
and how much one should really be afraid.

Until then, I don't worry too much, because

   it will be beer anyway
