Hello!
In Emacs.app, the Cocoa port of GNU Emacs 23.0.60 (http://emacs-
app.sourceforge.net/), it fails to convert formulas from the preview/
circ.tex file to pictures. In the _region_ output buffer no error is
mentioned:
Output written on _region_.pdf (1 page, 10249 bytes).
Transcript written on _region_.log.
Preview-LaTeX exited as expected with code 1 at Sat Jan 5 12:45:33

Running in *shell* the (expanded and edited) gs command on
_region_.pdf I get only the GS> prompt ... but the output file has
been created:

In the X client version of GNU Emacs 23.0.60 all works fine. What can
I do to come closer to the cause of the failure? The variable image-
types has the value:
(png gif tiff jpeg xpm xbm pbm)
so PNG is supported, and I can open in dired a PNG file and see the
picture.
