Uh, you first use edebug-defun for defining a debuggable function, then
overwrite it by loading the unmodified version on top of that?

Why do you expect that to do anything?

Do you think people will be happier to help you if you make a point of
complaining all the time?  If you don't want people to lose motivation,
I'd recommend keeping the unconstructive sulking to yourself.
