I don't believe it happens to me. Likely it is an underlying problem with the supporting libraries and the graphics drivers that you are using. But you are welcome to open a proper bug report at http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?group=gnubg, that way we can keep track of the problem, and solve it or report it back to the GTK people as appropriate.
