By default luck is analyzed at 0 ply. You can set the plies manually with:
set analysis luckanalysis plies <plies>

And yes, setting the ply level higher even for something like luck slows
down analysis considerably.
0-ply is used as well (Not changeable that I am aware of) when using cheat
mode to determine the best to worst possible rolls.
