I meant to say: (which I believe doesn't use Xquartz windows manager as a gtk+2 backend (at least by default) Xquartz is the x11/quartz back end. Qaurtz (without the X) uses the quartz windows manager (not based on X11). I know from the past that Quartz (without X11) will compile but the window is messed up (the 3D mainly is legible but all the other areas that don't contain 3D are messed up). That has been a long standing issue with just the Quartz Window manager. The XQuartz interface does work. I will have to see if homebrew supports X11 backend. It probably does but I can't recall how to change it. I will try it this weekend if I have some time. But for the time being you might consider seeing how things look with Macports instead. _______________________________________________ Bug-gnubg mailing list Bug-gnubg@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-gnubg
