Unfortunately, it is not compatible with GNU's policy. GNU uses
bug-SOFTWARE_NAME, help-SOFTWARE_NAME and info-SOFTWARE_NAME, historically
and practically. That's why we use bug-grub and help-grub (this is just an
alias to bug-grub, though).
In addition, mailing lists are managed by Savannah nowadays, both for GNU
projects and non-GNU projects. The interface of Savannah permits a GNU
project to have SOFTWARE_NAME-* as well as {bug,help,info}-SOFTWARE_NAME. So
it is impossible to have just "grub" as a mailing list. We can ask FSF's
staff to create a mailing list manually, but I don't recommend, because this
requires discussion and their responses are tremendously slow.
Anyway, the name "bug-grub" has been used for several years, so I don't think
it is a good idea to change the name to another.
