Maybe the question is if the use of gnulib module version-etc-fsf
should be recommended or not.
FWIW, I don't use it, even though I maintain a FSF-copyrighted packages
(Texinfo), because when I tried it wanted to force too much on me --

Also, most (purely numerically speaking) GNU packages are not
copyright FSF.

Sure, but I am also in favor of not redundantly specifying program
names.
Anyway, whatever. I don't feel that strongly about it.
