ok, good luck. Begin by looking at the Documentation/GNUmakefile for "bib"; it's currently on line 113. Build the docs, then look carefully at all the intermediate files produced by lines 113-129. Then look at the scripts.

If you could simplify this whole mess into a single python file that did .bib -> .texi , that would be fantastic. :) alternatively, just make a few extra hacks on top of stuff in the current chain, to produce nicer-looking .texi files.
